Overview:

Reports To: Varies by location

Primary Functions: Maintenance of credit union facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect and maintain credit union facilities. Prepare periodic facility inspection and conditions reports as required.
  2. Perform higher level maintenance and repairs on credit union facilities to ensure they are maintained in a manner that is consistent with member and management expectations.
  3. Ensure assigned maintenance activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Execute office and department move, remodels, reconfigurations and special event support.
  5. Plan, determine and acquire needed assets to execute and report on assigned projects.
  6. Travel to other regions to perform maintenance and lead project teams.
  7. Maintain a working knowledge of building mechanical systems.
  8. Perform janitorial duties as required and monitor custodial and maintenance services.
  9. Maintain minimal repair parts inventory necessary to complete common recurring maintenance tasks.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:

Education: High School graduate or equivalent.


Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not applicable.


Experience/Skills: Five years experience in a facilities maintenance or similar position. Must have a working knowledge of building systems, be able to work independently and to communicate with and relate to people. This position requires a valid drivers license, acceptable and insurable driving record, pre-employment physical, pre-employment and random drug testing. Must be able to lift 70 pounds.


Tenure: Senior Maintenance Specialist, category 12, requires eighteen months in the Maintenance Specialist II position, category 13, with performance that meets or exceed expectations. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure with proven ability to manage an increase in the job responsibilities. Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidates performance.

Compensation:

Salary Pay Range:

  • Maintenance Specialist I (Category 14): $41,484 - $60,567 annually
  • Maintenance Specialist II (Category 13): $44,803 - $66,309 annually
  • Senior Maintenance Specialist (Category 12): $48,387 - $73,549 annually

Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
