An H&E Field Mechanic travels to customer job sites for the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on different forms of aerial and earthmoving heavy equipment. Field Mechanic Responsibilities: + On-Site Maintenance and Repairs: Travel to customer job sites to perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct repairs on heavy equipment. + Mechanical Expertise: Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, and other essential components of heavy machinery. + Electrical and Hydraulic Systems: Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment. + Diesel Systems: Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, addressing issues related to fuel systems, exhaust, and emissions. + Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance procedures to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent breakdowns. + Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and those around you. + Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used and work performed.
