Epsilon Systems is currently seeking a full-time Cleanroom Helper in Portsmouth, VA
Summary: The Cleanroom Helper will perform tasks which require mainly physical abilities and effort involving minimal specialized skill. They will clean and test various components related to hyperbaric and diver life support systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning of components/assemblies to Mil-Std-1330 and Mil-Std-1622 Critical
- Conduct testing of components/assemblies
- Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances.
- Moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows or hand trucks.
- Stacks materials for storage or binning.
- Collects refuse and salvageable materials.
- Moves and arranges heavy pieces of furniture, machinery, and/or equipment.
- Uses hand and powered tools of the trade to perform such tasks as cutting holes and cutting threads on piping.
- Supplies, lifts, and holds material, and tools for journey level workers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
- General knowledge of basic hand tools.
- General knowledge of work site/shipboard protocol.
- Willing to learn a new trade.
- Ability to obtain and maintain access military bases and shipyards.
Preferences:
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.

- Frequently handles heavy objects. Able to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight.
- Must have visual, manual and finger dexterity; able to grasp, manipulate, handle small objects.
- Able to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or hold objects.
- Works inside in areas that are usually dusty, dirty, or greasy and outside, sometimes in bad weather. Work may be performed in extreme weather conditions; heat, cold, wet.
