Job Description

The Account Specialist is an inside sales position that provides a bridge between the customer and IMMI's sales and product team. The main role is to champion the inquiry to order (ITO) process for the assigned markets and customers as well as provide support on new product development and application projects.

The ITO process consists of the following elements: filtering requests, evaluation of project, processing samples, quotes and Returns (RMAs), system set-ups in ERP including items and price lists and the coordination of item releases w/engineering, planning & operations.

This position will work closely with the external customers as well as internal teams such as sales directors, account management, engineering, change management and operations teams to facilitate and implement resolutions to day-to-day tasks.

LOCATION: Onsite- Westfield, IN

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Establish, develop, document, and maintain relationships that support existing business for assigned accounts.
  • Receive, document, track and ensure completion of customer inquiries in a reasonable time frame
  • Work with customer service, account receivable and pricing teams to resolve day to day pricing, customer item set up and invoice issues.
  • Support Account Manager with RFQ kick off
  • Champion customer samples from request to shipments
  • Work with engineering, account managers and pricing teams in submitting items with market up BOMS to the CPQ process.
  • Support RFQ and QDM kick-off meetings as needed
  • Champion the development of the quotes (facilitating cost analysis, internal approvals, quote documents) as well the supporting the communication of the quote to customer. (Account Manager's champion the price on the quotes.)
  • Support Change Management in process of the change notices, ECOs and MCOs with timely completion of deliverables related to customer data entry and communications with customers.
  • Champion the data entry and maintenance of Oracle customer related forms such as price lists, customer cross reference and customer item fields.
  • Initiate the set-up of customers in Salesforce & Oracle
  • Support PPAP process by entering PPAP orders, ensuring documentation is included in the EPDM entry and working with IMMI teams to ensure PPAPs are on time to customers.
  • Champion assigned customers' portals. Ensure the organization is effectively using them to the customer's expectations
  • Supportaccounts receivable, pricing administration and account management teams inresolving short pays (chargebacks) and customer aging issues.
  • Provide customer intelligence updates on regular basis for forecasting (as it relates to change management & build rates), quality and commercial issues.
  • Manage customer scorecards. Provide monthly updates and escalations on scores and changes.
  • Provide negotiation and communication support on quality, pricing, product requirements and other issues that affect assigned accounts.

To be successful in this position the Account Specialist will need to develop and maintain intermediate to advance competencies in the following areas:

  • Customer Communications
  • IMMI product and manufacturing aptitude
  • IMMI's CPQ (cost, price, quote), Change Notice and Inquiry to Order process and systems.
  • Customer's forecast of phase in and out part numbers
  • Customer pricing contracts and related systems and processes
  • IMMI's internal systems (Oracle, Salesforce, Solid Works) related to this position
  • Technical understanding of reading drawings and ability to communicate changes to them
  • Relationship Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Appropriate associate's or bachelor's degree, certifications, and 3 or more years of experience in finance, business, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong ability to plan and work in teams
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to always project and maintain confidentiality and integrity
  • Must comply with legal and corporate responsibilities
