The primary responsibility of this position is to complete tasks as directed by the Foreman or other senior members of the crew in providing labor support in the installation, replacement, or repair of utilities.
- Act as a liaison among customers, vendors and clients.
- Shovel, rake, transfer, grade materials such as dirt and stone.
- Drive, mark, remove or replace plans.
- Measure and mark grades using rulers, levels, strings or lasers.
- Secure devices using straps, ropes or chains.
- Operate tampers, rollers or other compaction devices.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Communication skills, ability to comprehend instruction.
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, walk, reach.
- Ability to lift items up to 50lbs.
