**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

As a Light Assembler, your mission will be to perform hands-on assembling and finishing for a variety of products following standard work instructions and processes.

More specifically, you will:

* Set up, operate and maintain all equipment and machinery to meet production schedules and comply with all manufacturing procedures related to the operation.

* Produce good quality product within the approved time standards.

* Machines and tools used include the following: small hand tools, air, electric and pneumatic tools, pipe threader, flow meters, and drill motor.

* Follows all safety rules and procedures.

* Stores and/or moves materials within the work environment and SAP as needed.

* Read shop packets, blueprints, bill of materials, and related drawings.

* Assemble products using standard assembly methods.

* Use small hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, and electric drills, etc.

* Simple fitting and adjusting to liberal tolerances.

* Ability to be cross-trained in other department functions as needed.

* Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

* Ability to write simple correspondence.

* Ability to effectively participate in workgroup discussions and in a team environment

* Brazing experience preferred but not required.?

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Regularly required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 40 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move objects. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**

Facility conditions are in line with SPX Flow EHS regulations and country legislative safety requirements with regards to safe walkways, shelving and general working areas.
