Senior Assistant General Manager Job Description
Reports to: General Manager
Job Summary: Responsible for assisting in planning, directing, and coordinating all operations and personnel management. Ultimately responsible for managing the restaurant.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
•Complete knowledge of all expectations of the Manager and Assistant General Manager positions.
•Advanced P&L Involvement.
•P&L variance report/Corp vs store P&L.
•Identifying problem cost areas and managing the solutions.
•Long term profitability improvement.
•Involved in budgeting and forecasting.
•Advanced food knowledge and recipe compliance.
•Food cost expert.
•Develop positive relationships with Back of House and Front of House staff and managers.
•Write a prep list.
•Sysco ordering and receiving.
•Proactively manage Front of House and Back of House labor.
•Recipe compliance.
•Knowledge of declining budget.
•Direct local store marketing initiatives.
•Prepare for and participate in store level manager meetings.
•Create manager schedule.
•Involved in coaching, counseling, and terminations.
•Involved AGM & AM annual reviews.
•Manage and develop all store level manager.
•Teach Core Beliefs.
•Maintain a positive attitude and professional approach to coworkers and customers.
•Understand Specific Measurable Achievable Relevant Time-bound (SMART) goals.
