Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Sr. Equipment Analyst to work with operation and field technicians to provide technical support. The qualified individual will be responsible for supporting consistent operation and maintenance procedures of equipment to ensure reliable compressor operations. The Sr. Equipment Analyst will also provide support for equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This position is a hybrid field-based role, with responsibility for direct support to operations. The position could be officed in any of our selected offices in WV, VA, or KY.

Special focus to be placed on:

  • Provide engine and compressor equipment performance analysis per established program guidelines, using portable analyzer to measure horsepower, load, vibration, compressor valve analysis, engine balancing, including power and compressor cylinder pressure traces, etc.
  • Maintain equipment analysis historical records, for trending.
  • Provide verbal and written equipment health information, assist in equipment troubleshooting and document the maintenance activities necessary to improve performance and reliability of equipment.
  • Provide recommendations and/or adjustments to compressor units to reduce O&M costs and improve compressor efficiency.
  • Trend data to recommend predictive maintenance to prevent failures and maximize run time.
  • Evaluate the condition of engine foundations, pipe and bottle supports.
  • Monitor unit specific fuel consumption to analyze performance of air/fuel ratio controls, ignition systems and emissions. Make or recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Assist technicians in developing accurate compressor load curves.
  • Assist in conducting equipment root cause analysis investigations.
  • Provide equipment condition information, develop scopes of work, and cost estimates for unit overhaul projects.
  • Maintain oil analysis records and review oil reports to assist with equipment analysis.
  • Perform emissions testing to ensure compliance with company, local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Support others as needed through training and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify opportunities to deploy new technology to improve equipment performance.
  • Identify inefficiencies and opportunities to optimize equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Technical or associate degree in industrial maintenance or mechanical related field is preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in analyzing equipment, rotating machinery, Including reciprocating engines and compressors.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of various industry standards for analyzing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting natural gas engine and compressor equipment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and maintenance of natural gas engines, electric motors, compressors, pumps, and other auxiliary equipment.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, piping & instrument drawings (P&IDs).
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills to diagnosis and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Able to proficiently utilize equipment including, but not limited to Windrock 6400 portable analyzer, Resonace Analyzer, and emission analyzer.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, Adobe Acrobat, and other computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to work safely in challenging environments, including, and not limited to high temperature, noise, dust, and other industrial / oilfield locations.
  • Ability to execute job functions efficiently with minimal supervision and the ability to prioritize activities to meet company needs.
  • Strong communication and project management skills. Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. The ideal candidate will be able to present information to company management, engineering, and operations staff.
  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), prioritize work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
  • Must be a self-starter, that can work alone when necessary.
  • Must have good time management skills and be able to handle multiple tasks at same time.
  • Physical requirements include, but may not be limited to, climbing up and down stairs/ladders, traverse uneven surfaces, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and insurer.
  • Frequent travel within the operating area including some overnight stay.
  • Available for emergency on call support.
