Consistent and accurate representation of the Point Eight Power brand, mission, vision, values, and organizational strategy are essential to achieving the goals of the organization.•Increase project efficiency by effectively developing and adhering to design techniques and processes•Provide technical guidance as a subject matter expert for Electrical Engineering consultative services regarding areas of material selection and design concepts which maintain integrity of all customized products, comply with applicable industry standards and meet client specifications.•Support best in class manufacturing with a focus on cycle time, quality, and value by efficiently maintaining internal department processes and providing professional expertise.•Strengthen Point Eight Power's reputation and sustainability through decreased operational costs and increased quality by establishing and improving the Electrical Engineering processes to reduce cost and provide new and innovative products.•Increase efficiency and quality by proactively identifying and implementing advanced tools within the engineering and manufacturing departments. •Coordinate with the Estimating Department on a technical basis to ensure accurate quote execution; collaborate with Manufacturing Managers to monitor progress and efficiency on all projects and act as authority a technical expert for electrical-related matters.•Coordinate efforts with Mechanical Engineering and Building Design Departments to ensure all Departments share technical details to develop a finalized design and work together to supply detailed and compliant designs to the client and manufacturing.Required Skills•Intrapersonal Skills - Self-motivated and able to identify, examine, and resolve issues independently from others. Knowledge of Software and Hardware technology for the custom design activity for PLC's (Allen-Bradley, Quantum, Premium, etc.) hot standby systems as well as relay and relay-based programming for under voltage and protection using Basler, Multilin, Sepam, Zelio, Woodward, etc.. In addition, communication protocol using Modbus, Ethernet or Fiber Optic•Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including 3D Electrical Design applications such as Autocad Electrical, EPlan, Promis-e. Proficient with Microsoft Office Business Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) as well as MRP/ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, AS400, Ask Manman.•Codes & Standards -Knowledgeable of UL Standards (UL-1558, UL-891, UL-67, UL-508, UL-845 and UL-DLAH). Familiar with regional utility codes in Chicago, New York, California, etc•Verbal & Written Communication Skills - This position requires high skills (Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
