Through its relationship with CUSO Financial Services, LP (CFS), Coastal Federal Credit Union is seeking a Registered Financial Assistant to join the Coastal Wealth Management team in the Raleigh, NC area.

Your impact:
As a Registered Financial Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to use your detail orientation and strong organizational skills to provide support to our financial advisors. You'll also have the opportunity to use your strong interpersonal skills as you build rapport with our clients, answer their questions, and provide exceptional internal and external customer service.

The contributions you can anticipate making:

  • Providing support to the financial advisors by building member relationships and driving new business by working the advisors' existing book of business.
  • Assisting with prospecting members by outbound calling and marketing mailings and maintaining prospects in database.
  • Contacting prospects and scheduling appointments and partner referrals for advisors.
  • Maintaining daily calendar for advisors.
  • Scanning and processing new business and service requests for clients.
  • Processing paperwork, trades, and client distributions.
  • Handling routine customer inquiries and working with the back-office support personnel at vendors and broker-dealer to ensure a high degree of quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Assisting with coordination of workshops, retail branch and partner referral training, and marketing-related events for clients and prospects.
  • Tracking ROI of marketing dollars vs budget and internal/external referral management for team.
  • Reporting specific problems to Program Manager on an as-needed basis.
  • Assisting with clearing outstanding back-to-reps and debit balances in a timely matter.
  • Ensuring updated supplies of prospectus and approved advertising materials are available to advisors.
  • Keeping all securities and insurance licensing current through successful completion of continuing education requirements.

  • Experience: Two years of experience in a support, sales, or administrative capacity in a financial service or sales environment.
  • FINRA Series 7; Series 63/65 or 66
  • NC Life, Accident and Health licenses preferred
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
