We have an opening for a Stormwater / Water Resources Engineer with 5-10 years experience in hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling in the Winter Springs, FL office.
Streamline Technologies, Inc. is a software development firm located in the Orlando area of Central Florida specializing in water resources engineering applications. Our philosophy and reputation are built on providing innovative software solutions such as the widely used hydrodynamic stormwater model, StormWise (formerly ICPR ). Our stormwater and flood forecasting models include complex mathematical models that simulate the rainfall-runoff process, drainage systems, flooding and flood forecasting, groundwater flow, water quality impacts, and green stormwater infrastructure. Our applications center around a geospatial graphical interface that utilizes aerial imagery, thematic-based polygon map layers, and terrain surfaces.
The successful candidate will be part of our Water Resources Engineering Team and will work closely with our Software Development Team to create cutting-edge software solutions for resiliency and sustainability. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
Advise customers on their most complex modeling challenges
Develop and propose solutions that bring value to our customers by helping them solve their critical stormwater challenges
Identify areas to develop and enhance software functionality and features based on customers needs and industry trends
Become a subject matter expert as well as a technical expert of ICPR and Real Time Flood Forecasting
Develop watershed-level models
Build real time flood forecasting systems
Present, demonstrate, and support our software products and solutions
Provide workshops related to the use, best practices, and modeling tips of ICPR
Develop and present technical product demonstrations
Successfully design presentations for technical and non-technical customers
Present at conferences and trade shows
Skills of interest include:
The ideal candidate must be a motivated individual willing to expand their knowledge within our water resources group.
Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling is desired
Knowledge with AutoCAD, ICPR4, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM or equivalent software
Ability to process/analyze results and prepare technical documentation
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to work within a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in water resources engineering
- Bachelors or Masters degree (preferred) in Civil, Environmental or Agricultural Engineering or a closely related field with emphasis in water resources
- Certification as a professional engineer (PE) or engineer-in-training (EIT) is preferred
- Consulting experience (at least 5-10 years) in water resources/stormwate
- StormWise (formerly ICPR4) experience is a must
- Proficient in ArcGIS
- Experience with large scale watershed studies
