Job Description:
Pay Range $48.50 hr - $52.50hr
Duties:
- Prepare in vivo/in vitro samples, solutions, and reagents used in laboratory procedures.
- Conduct tests on polymer/biomaterial samples for product release or R&D purpose.
- ssist in designing and executing appropriate experiments and evaluating the data generated in-house and at contract laboratories.
- Support the R&D manager in the execution of standard analytical internal and external tests and the generation of analytical reports.
- Present research findings to scientists, engineers, and other colleagues.
- Provide instruction and training to interns and junior research personnel.
Years of Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
Education:
- Minimum B.Sc. (preferred M.Sc.) Degree in a scientific field.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
- Skills necessary for the analysis, production, isolation, and purification of polymer materials, which include basic skills in wet chemistry, such as extraction, filtration, and precipitation, and analytical skills to characterize and qualify the polymer materials, such as LC, GC, GPC, and mechanical testing.
- Organic chemistry and polymer science experience is preferred.
- Conduct assigned tasks under the supervision of senior scientific staff; perform assigned tasks by applying general procedures, methods, and scientific techniques; work on multiple activities in parallel.
- Good communication and data management skills are needed to communicate and document research findings and for record keeping.
