We seek a career-minded person looking for a long-term career with a great company. A background in plumbing or the construction industry is preferred but not required. Strong computer and customer service skills are necessary.Candidates must be:• Available from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background checkPrincipal Accountabilities:Answers incoming calls, screens and directs calls to the appropriate person.Greets visitors.Maintains front desk area in a neat and organized fashion.Sorts and delivers mail daily.Monitors invoices for tax-exempt status, delivery charges, and freight charges and add/modify if needed.Receives packing lists once purchase orders have been checked in.Scans daily manifests.Monitors transfers (old and/or disputed).Orders office and warehouse supplies as needed.Demonstrates products, explains product features, and solicits orders.Recommends products to customers based on customer’s needs and interests.Answers customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses and schedules appointments.Estimates or quotes prices, explains warranties, and delivery dates.Prepares estimates and bids that meet specific customer needs.Follows up on estimates and bids submitted to customers.Provides customers with product brochures or catalogs.Consults with clients after sales to resolve problems and provide ongoing support.Monitors product innovations and competitors’ products, pricing, and sales.Processes Return Goods and updates Returns Goods Queue.Provides the Branch Manager with reports or additional tasks as requested.Attends industry trade shows and product training when needed.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Education/Experience Required:High School Diploma required, or its equivalent.Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.*Kitchen & Bath Design experience preferred but not required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Must be friendly and have a positive attitude.Self-motivated.Critical thinker-using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions.Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Ability to learn Eclipse software.Must be very detail-oriented and focused for accuracy.Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines.Requires maturity and experience to interface with all levels of management, personnel, and customers.Must have strong interpersonal communication skills.Must maintain a patient and professional attitude while managing a busy workload.Strong organizational skills required.Must be able to determine and prioritize workload.Willingness to travel.We offer a competitive salary and an outstanding benefits package, including the following:Medical (BCBS of Illinois-PPO-$500 deductible)VisionVoluntary Term LifeMedical & Dependent Care Flexible Spending accounts401kPaid Time Off (PTO)Holidays-8 paid daysBenefits covered 100% by Connor Co. for full-time employees include:Due to Covid-19, we are not accepting applications in person.No phone calls, please.At Connor Co., people make a difference!
