Overview:
The Graduate Program in Speech-Language Pathology is approved by the New York State Education Department and is an CAA-ASHA certified program. It offers a 58 credit Masters degree program. Faculty members are involved in teaching, scholarly activities, and service to the institution and the community. This is a 10 month position.
Responsibilities:
- Teach 3 courses per semester
- Advisement of students; Meetings must occur a minimum of once per semester.
- Faculty must maintain digital files of their advisees.
- Maintain completed advisement sheets after each session.
- Complete and submit (to student advisor chair and in file) any problem alert and remediation forms.
- Notify Department Chair of any changes in schedule, student issues, and general problems.
- Maintain the required presence on campus.
- Attend weekly faculty meetings.
- Participation in both program and university committees.
- Follow program and university procedures for submission of any requisitions, conference requests, and travel.
- Maintain ASHA and state licensure as applicable, submit annually ASHA and state licensures as they expire.
- Utilize canvas for all courses.
- Participate in summer retreat, all faculty meetings, and all training sessions provided by the university. Clinical teaching may be possible.
- Prepare syllabi as needed in format used by the program.
- Prepare course outlines each semester in format used by the program.
- Special projects as designated by director.
- Submit annual report at the end of the academic year.
- Mentor students when appropriate for research projects.
- Participate in Interprofessional activities of the college.
- Participate in scholarly activities such as research, publications, presentations, and grant writing.
- Development of online courses if asked.
- Complete all courses required by the university for online teaching and technology.
Qualifications:
Education/ Experience
- PhD or other research doctoral equivalent in Speech Pathology or a related field from an accredited university.
- ASHA certification
- Eligibility for State licensure
- Research experience

Maximum Salary:
USD $110,000.00/Yr.
Minimum Salary:
USD $80,000.00/Yr.
