We see possibilities.Position Summary:The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining heavy and support equipment at transfer stations and material-recovery facilities safely and professionally. Your Role:Troubleshooting heavy equipment.WeldingMaintain and repair various types of heavy equipment, diesel motors, and hydraulic systems.Take an active role in improving safety and health in the workplace.Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings.Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.Your Skills: Ability to use various vehicle maintenance tools such as hand, electric, pneumatic, jacking, safety stands, and electronic testing equipment.Ability to receive, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.Ability to read and understand parts of service manuals.Ability to prepare legible and understandable work orders and schedule completion sheets.Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.Requirements:High School Diploma or EquivalentDriver's License/CDL B is a plus.Must supply own toolsASE CertificationTow Motor and Air brake certification is a plusDemonstrated mechanical skills.2-5 years experience in a transport environmentGritty, outgoing, and eager to learn.The environment is fast-paced, and the person in this role must be proactive, hardworking, highly organized, and an independent critical thinker.This Position Features:Family Oriented EnvironmentExcellent Benefits and Bonus PotentialPhysical Demands:Listed below are key points regarding the job's environmental demands and work environment.
