IT Asset Management Specialist
•Manage IT assets, including inventory management, asset tracking, asset deployment, software and license management, and asset disposal.
•Assist with continuing development and implementation of the asset management processes.
•Provide guidance and manage asset tracking for asset requirements firmwide. Work with ops manager on providing asset disposition, assist with the accounting, tracking, managing, and final disposition action processes for hardware and software assets across the firm.
•Participate in audits and physical asset verification through the firms various locations.This position will require physical handling and movement of iT assets and peripherals .
•Due to the nature of work performed require candidate to be physically and medically fit with ability to move assets
•The Technician is the first point of contact for an End User; because of this it is vital that the technician set the appropriate expectations to provide great interactions. The Technicians role includes (but is not limited to)
•Be available for Walk-In Support during operation hours of the TechLounge
•Dress and act in a professional courteous manner
•Empathize with an End User
•Provide fast effective technical support, in a positive manner
•Follow direction from Local Operations Manager
•Work on Assigned Tickets (incidents and Tasks) in a timely manner
•If no specific Assigned Tickets must self-regulate and work on tickets in queue(s).
•Open Service tickets (if required), follow up on tickets that are not closed by TechLounge
•Track each interaction in an internal database
•Be comfortable talking about all the technologies and services supported
•Be able to perform a warm handoff between the end user to additional support teams as necessary
•Maintain training materials, loaner devices, training devices. Which includes (but not limited to) tracking, re-formatting HDDs, cleaning, charging, setting up for user and/or trainers
•Maintain training materials inventory,
•Provide on the spot, fast effective technical assistance, in a positive manner
•Answer how to questions
•Open and close facility
•Provide tours of the facility
•Set up equipment for training sessions, as needed
•Promote (reference) TechLounge Central and TL training sessions
Technician should have good communication and troubleshooting skills, customer oriented, updated knowledge on curren t technology. Nice to have following knowledge:
- Hardware breakfix
- Service now ticketing system
- Asset inventory knowledge
- Using remote tool like Bomgar
- Knowledge on ITIL, SLA
- Imaging and re-imaging knowledge
- MacBook support
- MDM on IOS
Basic Qualifications:
•5+ years of experience with developing or implementing hardware and software asset management life cycle management processes and tools
•5+ years of experience in deskside role with experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, configuring,installation of windows, hardware, applications and office 365
•Experience working in tech lounge and providing support to users
•Experience with developing guidance, reporting, and procedures following ITIL and ITAM asset management guidelines
•Experience with hardware and software asset management
•Knowledge of asset tracking, request, and workflow tools, including ServiceNow
•Ability to manage project prioritization and planning
•Ability to work independently and part of a team and help in fostering communication amongst the team
•Ability to roadmap strategic improvement of services, translate tactical plan to ensure team success, and multi-task
•Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing needs and requirements
•Experience in asset disposal and coordination with vendor
