Summary: Working with or without supervision, inspect and repair Bell power train components to support our fleet of aircraft and 145 Repair Station aircraft in accordance with all regulations to insure airworthiness. All work performed will consistently comply with company policies and procedures. The schedule is 5/2 working at our Broussard, LA location.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Perform technical and mechanical functions pertaining to the aircraft component overhaul process. Perform disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of pneumatic, hydraulic, power generation and/or electro-mechanical components according to company specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufactures guidelines and operating procedures.Analyze, diagnose, and repair aircraft components using conventional tools and test equipment.Maintain proper segregation and identification of components in progress.Maintain current knowledge of and comply with FAA technical data as applicable to the work assigned.Complete necessary related documentation in accordance with established procedures.Complete all work in a timely manner.Protect, secure and preserve company owned tools, equipment and property.Perform all duties in a safe manner as to prevent injury to themselves, other company employees, customers, and equipment.Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence and reports and complete documentation and records pertaining to aircraft maintenance. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer Skills: Computer literacy is required to access and utilize on-line manuals and resource materials. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A&P Certificate preferred but not required.
