**Power Delivery Analog Engineer**

Intel Hillsboro , OR 97123 **Job Description**

Power Delivery Circuits and Systems Research group in Intel Labs is looking for an experienced, mixed signal circuit designer to contribute to the prototyping and development of state-of-the-art technologies in the area of DC-DC Converters.

**The candidate will work under the guidance of a Research Scientist to:**

* Complete assigned circuit design tasks and run simulations/analysis to assess circuit performance and validate functionality.

* Explore circuit design techniques within stringent area and power efficiency constrains.

* Drive layout and perform post-layout simulations with extracted parasitic and do appropriate tuning of the circuits to meet the desired specs and contribute towards the tapeout of the technology prototype.

* Perform testing and characterization of the prototype silicon to successfully demonstrate the technology on silicon/system prototype.

* Work closely with engineers in business units within Intel to provide any necessary documentation/training to enable a successful product integration.

**Qualifications**

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/ or work experience.

**Minimum Qualification:**

The candidate must have an Bachelors degree with (4+ years industry experience) or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with (2+ years of industry experience) in analog / digital mixed signal circuit design including:

2+ years of experience in below areas:

* Designing, testing and validating analog and/or mixed signal circuits with sub-micron CMOS technology.

* Design of mixed signal circuits such as comparators, level shifters, ADCs, DACs

* Solid understanding of deep sub-micron device physics, process technology and manufacturing.

* Knowledge of analog layout techniques, including floor-planning, matching, shielding and parasitic optimization.

* Strong background in VLSI and industry standard CAD tools for schematic capture, simulation, layout and physical verification, such as Cadence Spectre/Ultrasim/AMS Designer /Virtuoso, StarRC.

* Programing/Scripting using Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog, MATLAB

* Working with Mask Designers on layout implementation and reviews

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Knowledge of power electronics (DC-DC converters) topologies (Buck, LDOs, SC etc), VR controllers (CCM, DCM etc) is highly desirable

* Experience in taking power delivery designs from circuit to layout to silicon prototype is highly desired.

* Expertise in Digital RTL design, and taking the blocks through Synthesis/APR steps is a plus.
