Title:Technical Sales RepresentativeLocation:Port Arthur, TX * Contact current and prospective clients regarding the spectrum of services offered by Field Services
* Visit 15-20 clients per week, submit a weekly sales call report and a monthly summary report to the Vice President, Field Service regarding specific contacts made
* Investigate new markets and potential clients with the cooperation of the Vice President, Field Service
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients through regular contacts, business meetings, and correspondence
* Pricing and quote letters are to be coordinated by the Vice President, Field Service
* Ensure that terms and conditions are in place with prospective clients. Submit terms to the Vice President or the Field Service Director for follow-up
* Promote long-term maintenance services
* Follow-up on quotations; update negotiation database as results are obtained
* Help maintain client database as contacts are made and information is obtained
* Travel up to 25%; primarily regional day travel within assigned territory
* Other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications / ExperienceBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology, Marketing, or a similar field from an accredited college or university is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in sales is required; sales experience in the high voltage field is preferred.
Possess skills in the following areas: * Demonstrated technical aptitude with knowledge and understanding of high voltage substation systems
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey technical knowledge to individuals with varied technical backgrounds
* Excellent customer service skills to build and sustain client relationships
* Ability to identify and influence key decision makers within a prospective customers organization
* Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of organizations
* Good organizational skills which includes the development and execution of work plans
* Ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines
* Experience using MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel
