Responsibilities
Position Summary:
- Extensive knowledge and experience with plastics processing and test methodology / equipment and data analysis.
- Proficiency in polymer chemistry.
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
- Serve as an applied materials science expert within the R&D department.
- Composition of specifications, explicit protocols, precise execution of studies, and the meticulous analysis, documentation and communication of results.
- Design tests that analyze products for a variety of materials applications such as biocompatibility, processability, and mechanical effectiveness to meet US FDA, ISO, and other industry standards.
- Interface with external organizations, experts, emerging technologies and professional societies
- Utilize databases, technical reports, industry standards, customer input, and internal lab capability to research, analyze and identify correction for materials-related issues.
- Provide resolution training and guidance to others within the materials science organization.
- Prepare and present technical investigation reports to peers and middle level management.
- Demonstrate experience in compounding plastics and colorants or other additives.
- Conduct non-clinical and clinical studies as a project leader managing internal and external experts, organizations (e.g., CROs), and resources and has learned to work against time lines

Required:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
- 04-06 years related experience required.
- Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
- Regular and predictable attendance
