Salary:

Lecturer A/2 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per month
Lecturer B/3 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6,221 - $13,224 per month
Lecturer C/4 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6,825 - $14,523 per month
Lecturer D/5 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $8,593 - $15,211 per month

Anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. See the Faculty Salaries At-a-Glance guide for more information.

Position Summary:

The Concrete Industry Management Program in College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2024-25 academic year. Successful candidates will be able to teach a range of courses related to the concrete industry and its management principles. The programs curriculum is intended to prepare professionals for the concrete industry who have strong fundamental knowledge of concrete technology, management, safety, and business administration along with teamwork and life-long learning skills. California State University, Chico is seeking faculty who are competent in their field, collaborative with colleagues and staff, and committed to student success. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a 4-year degree in either Concrete Industry Management, Construction Management, or other job-related fields plus a minimum of 3 years concrete/materials/construction industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Job experience related to curriculum subjects preferred. ACI, NRMCA, ASTM certifications a plus. Bilingual candidates will be given preference.

Responsibilities:

Lecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the areas of teaching in the classroom and in a laboratory environment. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.

The Department:

The Concrete Industry Management Program is designed to produce industry ready, savvy, articulate students who are grounded in science, mathematics and business principles, and have extensive knowledge of concrete technology and industry trends. The CIM program at CSU, Chico has a strong relationship with the industry. The program has two advisory boards, one at the local level (Chico CIM Patrons) and another one at the national level (National Steering Committee). Over 40 local and national companies and organizations provide financial support for the program.
