The Account Executive sells web design and marketing solutions to businesses small and large by effective cold calling/prospecting within a specified territory. The AE generates all sales leads through a variety of prospecting tactics and works every lead from initial contact to sale. The AE handles the development and implementation of a Murfreesboro Territory Plan under the instruction of the Sales Director.


This is a hunter sales position for our Murfreesboro market. The AE is 100% focused on generating new clients.

Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities such as sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities, including the use of a CRM tool, to maintain accurate records and maximize territory potential.

Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.

Have a complete understanding of Horton Group’s business model, value proposition, and services offered.

Demonstrate selling skills and product knowledge. Read sales books and take sales courses to learn new sales techniques if necessary; practice and implement new sales techniques regularly.

Communicating with developers and marketing staff to find solutions for advanced functionality and custom services.

Being flexible and adapting to changing needs in the Sales Department.

Attend local networking events, trade shows, and other Murfreesboro networking activities to generate customer opportunities.

Meet and exceed Horton Group’s performance standards as defined in the employee handbook.

Attend and participate in sales meetings as established by management


3+ years of outside business sales experience as a hunter in the technology space.

Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets preferred

Some knowledge of digital marketing, web design, or WordPress would be beneficial

Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

Proficient in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Display and encourage a positive attitude.


Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
