Traditions Bank, serving South Central Pennsylvania and headquartered in York, PA, is looking to hire a full-time Universal Banker at the White Street location in York. This universal banking position earns $21-24/hour (negotiable), dependent upon experience. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A UNIVERSAL BANKER

  • Must have prior experience in banking or related financial services roles
  • Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations; platform experience required
  • Consumer lending experience highly preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven sales and customer service experience
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Proficiency in using banking software and handling transactions accurately
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance with banking policies and procedures

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A UNIVERSAL BANKER

  • Product Expertise: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the bank's products, services, and their associated benefits to effectively advise customers.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Actively seek opportunities to expand existing client relationships and develop new ones, gathering and utilizing customer data to enhance relationships (profiling).
  • Sales and Referrals: Identify and promote appropriate deposit and loan products based on customer needs, generating written proposals when necessary. Recognize and refer opportunities for additional banking services such as mortgages, investment management, and credit card products.
  • Branch Engagement: Participate actively in branch relationship-building initiatives, service enhancement programs, and motivational activities.
  • Transaction Processing: Accurately and efficiently handle customer transactions while ensuring adherence to bank policies and procedures.
  • Service Excellence: Embrace the bank's sales process, delivering prompt, responsive, and exceptional service to customers. Handle phone inquiries and resolve customer complaints professionally, utilizing such instances to identify further needs.
  • Account Maintenance and Administrative Support: Undertake routine customer account maintenance, address general inquiries, and assist with branch administrative tasks.
  • Prospecting and Outreach: Maintain an active prospect list, initiating outreach to build and nurture relationships, keeping branch staff informed of new client connections, and providing assistance in relationship building.
  • Training and Mentorship: Contribute to the training and mentoring of newly hired Universal Bankers, sharing insights and best practices for effective customer engagement and sales strategies.

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A UNIVERSAL BANKER

This full-time, non-exempt Universal Banker position, works a typical schedule of 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday, 9am - 12pm Saturday (varies).
