Neighborhood Health – Security Officer

Non-Exempt, 20 Hours

Our goal is simple: improving access to healthcare in our community and surrounding areas. Neighborhood Health is looking to add a Security Officer to our team. As Security Officer, you will:

  • Does not provide treatment to patients, but is very visible in the clinic, often greeting patients when they enter the facility.
  • Main duty is to protect people, property, information, and reputation.
  • Responds rapidly to security emergencies within the health care setting including parking areas.
  • Regularly walks through the clinic and parking areas and when not walking through the clinic, sits in an established location within the clinic; assist with deliveries and building contractors as needed.
  • Has completed officer training that includes de-escalation techniques and use of weapons.
  • Reports any incidents to the Facilities Manager and completes an incident report within 24 hours of any situation.
  • Becomes involved with patients when assistance is requested by medical or nursing staff, or when patients or their families ask for assistance or information
  • Attends and participates in meetings and in-services as required. Participates in professional development activities. Serves on committees as requested.
  • Performs duties in accordance with NHC Standards of Conduct and Mission Statement.
  • Performs related work as required and other duties (similar physical requirements and OSHA risk level) as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Prefer experience as a police officer.

Education Requirements:

  • Must have completed police officer/security officer training. Must have a carry permit and ongoing training.
