Position: Group Sales Manager

Reports To: Sales Manager

Job Summary: As a Group Sales Manager this position involves selling and servicing the social, sports, military, educational, religious and fraternization market segments that produce group sleeping rooms and banquet revenue. Working with the client to compile their event details into Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s Duties

  • Research and prospect new group clients for Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center.
  • Responsible for SMERF market as assigned by Sales Manager.
  • Follow up on leads on a timely basis, usually within 24 hours.
  • Make presentations to clients and prospective clients.
  • Participate in group sales meetings, forecast meeting and BEO meeting.
  • Secure business that is a good strategic fit for Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center.
  • Schedule and organize site tours on property.
  • Coordinate and work with other Resort managers and internal resources.
  • Create and coordinate a productive and memorable group client experiences.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts on a timely basis.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and leads.
  • Input all activity in Resort Suite and report progress weekly to Sales Manager.
  • Coordinates with the client all the details for their event and creates BEO’s for the client’s review

  • Previous hospitality experience is a plus

  • Quick study, flexible
  • Working knowledge of Office including Word, Excel and strong computer knowledge.
  • Network of existing clients and working knowledge of ResortSuite is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality experience or business is a plus.
  • Ability to travel regionally.
  • Available to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
