Job Description

HSC Medical Billing & Consulting LLC is currently seeking a Payment Poster. We are looking for an individual who has experience in Payment Posting, is detail-orientated with excellent verbal, written communication along with time management skills. The successful candidate enjoys and can work in a fast-paced environment.

This position offers challenging assignments, a good salary and a generous benefits package. This is a full time position which offers schedule flexibility.

Job Duties:

Processing electronic remittance advice files (ERA)
Interpreting explanation of benefits (EOB) to determine payment and adjustment amount
Entry of payment recoupments
Data entry into computer system and excel spreadsheets
Balancing with reports, system, and spreadsheets
Researching credit balances for refund processing

Requirements:

· 2 to 4 years of payment postings and/or office clerical administration experience

Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task and to prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem solving skills
Possess excellent written, grammar and communication skills
Possess excellent computer skills, including experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Good attendance and punctuality
Possess the ability to read and interpret an EOB (explanation of benefits)
Possess excellent follow-up skills ensuring timely follow up on accounts
Respond timely to inquiries by patients or clients
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information at all times
High school diploma or equivalent
