Job Summary
Reporting to the Transportation Manager, this position is responsible for partnering with sales and operations supporting the day to day transportation operations and reporting of KPI metrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Run dormancy report out of Samsara and communicate to the RJ Schinner branch the results.
- Use Innovo and excel to create monthly RJ Schinner trucking capacity report.
- Track late containers with carriers and communicate the results to Purchasing.
- Analyze K&N and Echo invoices for discrepancies.
- Track P44 EDI issues and report back to IT with root cause results.
- Calculate KPI’s and update transportation summary monthly.
- Run route analytics and work with the Transportation Coordinator to update routing guides accordingly.
- Analyze and prepare SOP’s for transportation department.
- Calculate on-time deliveries and report out to needed customers.
- Back up Transportation Coordinator.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business is preferred
- Must have a moderate level of skill in Excel, Word, Power point and Outlook
- 3 years of experience in truck routing, scheduling, and importing containers is required
- Basic comprehension of warehouse logistics
- Eclipse or WMS system experience is preferred
- Requires good oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
