Our growth is fueled by individuals who share our passion. Currently, we have an opening for a Senior Facilities Technician in our Louisville, CO location. The Senior Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining daily operations of the facility, performing facility maintenance duties such as furniture moves, engineering/production/manufacturing projects, painting, cleaning, light construction, general repairs, and exterior cleanup/maintenance. Working cross-functionally to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Core Responsibilities include:

- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections with high attention to detail to identify necessary repairs - overseeing the general functioning of building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire, and security.
- Prepare a systematic approach to the cleaning, repair, and maintenance of the building, grounds, equipment, and related facilities. Independently organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments.
- Perform and/or oversee routine maintenance and timely repairs in the areas of painting, carpentry, plumbing, and general handyman needs.
- Coordinates with Office Manager and IT Director on projects impacting/intersecting with facilities operations.
- Provides coordination with external contractors and service providers as needed and directed.
- Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.
- Oversee vendor activities and relationships specific to facility and grounds; include the scheduling of repair and maintenance needs as required; closely monitor progress to ensure quality of work.
- Participate in equipment selection and direct the facilitation and installation of new equipment and proper equipment disposal.
- Participate as a member of the Quicksilver Scientific Safety Committee.
- Prepare facility for changing weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of previous facilities maintenance experience
- Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (including calendaring and Excel Spreadsheets)
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 75 lbs. - including lifting heavy equipment and standing or walking for long periods of time
Ideal Candidates have the following traits:
- Associate degree in Facilities Management, Engineering or related field
- General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Proven ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and stakeholders
- Understanding of general safety guidelines in directing the use of a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance equipment both indoors and outdoors
- Self-motivated and self-directed - working with independence to make decisions requiring applications of judgment based on knowledge of policies, procedures, and operating practices

Compensation: $29.00 to $34.00 an hour
