Retail Pharmacist Contract-to-Hire | Los Alamos, NM
13-Week Assignment with Potential for Permanent Placement

We are actively recruiting for a Retail Pharmacist to support day-to-day pharmacy operations at a high-volume community pharmacy in Los Alamos, New Mexico. This is a 13-week temp-to-perm position, ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Role Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with potential for permanent hire

• Work Schedule: Day shift, flexible start times (8:30 AM or 9:30 AM)

• Pharmacy Hours: MondayFriday, 8:30 AM 6:30 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM 2:00 PM
  (Rotating weekends required)

• Pharmacy System: PioneerRx

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth daily operations

• Deliver professional patient counseling and support medication safety

• Perform verification of USP 800 non-sterile compounded prescriptions
  (Note: No hands-on compounding required)

• Maintain accuracy and efficiency in a high-volume setting (approx. 600 prescriptions daily)

• Uphold pharmacy and state regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted New Mexico Pharmacist License

• Previous experience in high-volume retail pharmacy strongly preferred

• Familiarity with USP 800 and non-sterile compounding is a plus

• Open to recent pharmacy school graduates with appropriate licensure

• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
