The Position: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Software Engineer – Junior/Journeyman.
Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, based upon an individual's level of experience, skillset, and education. The range that is given is an estimate and may vary based on contractual constraints. At AM Pierce & Associates, it is our goal to provide equitable compensation to all employees.

The Work Environment: On-Site.
The Description:
- Coordinate small to medium segments of a project/program. Apply tools such as but not limited to: Risk Management, Configuration Management, Data Management, Trade-Off Analysis/Trade Studies, Technical Performance Measurement, Technical Reviews, Modeling & Simulation of Earned Value Management.
- Monitor research, analysis, design, development, test, or manufacturing operations.
- Provide oversight direction, management, and coordination of a significant technical effort.
- Serve as a representative for NAVAIR, interfacing with headquarters, contractors, and other government activities involved in the program.
- Furnish technical advice and assistance to gov't leads.
- Report on technical direction of the program, planning and scheduling work, reporting results, progress, schedule adherence and overall accomplishments of the work.
- Review data, reports, studies, designs, design documentation, tests, or equipment to determine conformance with contract technical requirements.
- Conduct technical reviews to determine the acceptability of changes to contract required services or equipment and/or determines the usability of items not meeting the requirements of the contract.
- Furnish advice to the government on technical matters.
Education & Experience:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance, required.
- Technical 4-yr degree and 1+ years of experience
- Education substitutions not allowed.
- Acquisition experience
- Junior Level: At least one to three (1-3) years of experience in Software Engineering performing software requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, and testing in support of DoD aircraft systems, weapons systems, mission systems or support systems.
- Journeyman Level: At least three to ten (3-10) years of experience in Software Engineering performing software requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, and testing in support of DoD aircraft systems, weapons systems, mission systems or support systems.
Desired Skillset:
- Knowledge of military avionics systems, components and software and related design attributes.
- Knowledge of systems engineering procedures, processes, practices, and tools as related to Avionics and Weapons systems and technology.
- Experience in engineering or computer science with an emphasis on software engineering/development of software systems.
- Experience in software requirements allocation, design, software process management, open architecture principles, software integration and test.
Preferred Certifications:
- DAWIA Certification
Travel:
- On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, travel may be required.
