Dermatology at MidTowne is a fast-paced medical office where teamwork and adaptability are essential. This hybrid role provides both front desk and clinical support, working as a Medical Receptionist and Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, and compassionate, with strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive patient experience from the first phone call through the completion of the visit.

Job Duties and Functions

Front Desk & Administrative Responsibilities:

• Answer and direct phone calls, schedule appointments

• Support communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff

• Process patient payments

• Assist patients with check-in/check-out and required forms

• Other duties as assigned by management

Clinical Responsibilities (Medical Assistant):

• Manage patient flow

• Assist with in-office dermatology procedures

• Chart prep

• Phone triage

• Scribing and accurate EHR documentation

• Follow-up on lab results

• Maintain sterile technique

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills

• Strong grammar, spelling, and attention to detail

• Ability to operate iPads/computers and learn EMR systems

• Accurate scribing and multitasking in a fast-paced environment

• Basic financial skills for payment processing

• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with staff and patients

• Passion for excellent customer service and patient experience

Education and Certification Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required

• Previous medical assistant experience in Dermatology preferred

• Previous experience using EMR Modernizing Medicine preferred

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, sitting, walking, and leaning; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
