We are looking for a highly skilled Systems Administrator III to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing IT systems to ensure seamless operations. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while collaborating with experts to develop technical solutions that drive impactful results.
We are seeking a skilled Active Directory / IAM Administrator to support and manage identity and access systems in a secure, high-availability environment. This role is critical to ensuring seamless authentication, authorization, and user lifecycle management across both on-premises and cloud platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage on-premises Active Directory, including GPOs, Trusts, DNS, and AD Sites and Services
- Perform user provisioning/de-provisioning with a focus on security best practices
- Implement and manage ADFS for federated authentication
- Manage Azure AD, including Azure AD Connect, Conditional Access, and B2C configurations
- Administer Okta for SSO, MFA, and lifecycle management across internal and third-party applications
- Develop PowerShell scripts for automation and system management
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of AD, Azure AD, and Okta environments
- Create and maintain documentation for identity systems and processes

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on IAM experience with AD, Azure AD, and Okta
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and IAM protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP)
- Strong understanding of RBAC, MFA, and identity security best practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
Preferred:
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Okta Certified Administrator
- Experience with SailPoint, Saviynt, or other identity governance tools
- Familiarity with AWS/GCP IAM services and DevOps integration
