Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years PACU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with PACU expertise to provide skilled care in an outpatient procedural environment. This contract position supports a dynamic clinical team, caring for patients undergoing a range of interventions including embryo transfers, egg retrievals, hysteroscopy, and occasional D&C procedures. The facility offers a supportive, close-knit culture with regular team celebrations and recognition.
Schedule/Hours:
- Guaranteed break: 11:00–11:30
- Last anesthesia case of the day: 12:30–1:30
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 1 year recent PACU or outpatient procedures experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- First-time travelers are encouraged to apply
- Proficient in IV starts, EMR documentation (EPIC experience required), perioperative patient care, discharge education, and Aldrete scoring
- Experienced with sedation/conscious sedation practices
Responsibilities:
- Follow assigned patients 1:1 from pre-op through post-op to discharge, ensuring continuity of care
- Prepare, monitor, and educate patients for procedures such as embryo transfer and egg retrieval
- Perform and document assessments, interventions, and recovery milestones using EMR system
- Provide discharge instructions and ensure patient safety upon release
- Work collaboratively with multiple physicians and support staff present in the suite
- Participate in maintaining a welcoming and positive work environment with strong emphasis on teamwork
