Essential Business Development Duties:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to grow membership and assets.
- Identify and evaluate potential member segments and partnership opportunities
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, conducts market research to identify new opportunities and competitive challenges.
- Analyze area data and feedback to refine business development initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community groups.
- Present information on products and services offered by Firelands FCU.
- Participate in frequent networking & professional events to enhance the credit union’s awareness in the community, as well as, support business development, community service, financial literacy and financial wellness, public relations plans and objectives.
- Foster a culture of growth, collaboration, and member-centric service.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance or related field or equivalent experience required.
- 3 or more years’ experience in business development, sales, or related field, ideally within the financial services or credit union industry.
- Passion for community engagement and member-focused service.
- Leadership abilities with a collaborative and team-driven approach.
- Result and goal orientated
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
