Job DescriptionDirect Counsel is seeking a Construction Associate Attorney to join a leading national law firm’s Litigation Practice Group in Washington, D.C.
About the Role
The firm is looking for an associate with 2–5 years of experience in construction law, ideally with exposure to complex litigation matters. The position offers the opportunity to work with a high-performing team on sophisticated construction disputes and related commercial litigation.
Responsibilities

Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery

Conduct legal research and factual investigations

Support trial preparation and strategy

Work directly with partners and clients on active construction matters
Qualifications

2–5 years of relevant construction law experience

Strong academic credentials and outstanding writing skills

High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities

Admission to the D.C. Bar or eligibility to waive in

Must be prepared to submit a resume, cover letter, law school transcript, and writing sample
Compensation
This role is based in Washington, D.C. The anticipated compensation range is $235,000 – $365,000, depending on experience and qualifications, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.
