Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in West Valley City, UT, is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to support elementary school students on a contract basis for the upcoming school year. This role involves working directly with children, educators, and families to assess and address students academic, social, and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to assist in special education eligibility and student support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop intervention strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide insights on student development
- Support crisis intervention and behavioral management when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district policies and legal regulations
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in elementary educational settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and behavioral interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations professionally
